Genesis - book of beginnings

Chapter 1

1 In the beginning El-o-heem created the heaven and the earth.
NOTE ; EL-O-HEEM SPEAKS OF GOD IN A PLURAL FORM IN A SINGLE SENSE

2 And the earth was empty: and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the wind of El-o-heem relaxed on the face of the waters. NOTE : THE DARKNESS HERE IS NOT PHYSICAL LIGHT BUT EVIL ON THIS EARTH AFTER SATAN AND THE THIRD OF HIS ANGELS WAS CAST OUT OF HEAVEN TO THE EARTH

3 And eL-O-heem said, Let there be illumination: and there was illumination.
NOTE : THE ILLUMINATION WAS NOT PHYSICAL BUT BUT GOD'S HOLINESS AND LIGHT PUT ON THE EARTH

4 And EL-O-HEEM saw the illumination, that it was good: and el-o-heem divided the illumination from the darkness(NOTE DEVIL's EVIL).

5 And el-o-heem called out to the illumination to be hot, and the darkness el-o-heem callwed out to twist. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And el-o-heem said, Let there be a expansion in the sever of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And el-o-heem made the expansion, and divided the waters which were under the expansion from the waters which were above the expansion: and it was so.

8 And el-o-heem call out to the expansion be lofty. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
NOTE : THE LOFTY WAS HEAVEN

9 And el-o-heem said, Let the waters under the lofty be gathered together to one spot, and let the dry land see: and it was so.
NOTE: THE EARTH BEFORE THIS VERSE WAS A WATER PLANET COVERED COMPLETELY BY WATER

10 And el-o-heem call out to the dry land be firm; and the gathering together of the waters call out to roar: and el-o-heem saw that it was good.

11 And el-o-heem said, Let the earth sprout forth grass, the glisten sowing seed, and the fruit tree making fruit after his portion, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and glisten sowing seed after his portion, and the tree making fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his portion: and el-o-heem saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And el-o-heem said, Let there be luminous bodies in the expansion of the lofty to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signals, and for seasons, and for to be hot, and years:
NOTE ; THE LIGHTS HERE IS TALKING ABOUT PHYSICAL THINGS IN THE HEAVENS COMPARED TO VERSE 2 WHICH TALKS ABOUT SEPARATION BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL

15 And let the luminous bodies be for lights in the expansion of the lofty to be luminous on the firm: and it was so.
NOTE ; LOFTY = HEAVEN FIRM = EARTH

16 And el-o-heem made two great luminous bodies; the greater luminous body to rule the hot, and the lesser luminous body to rule the twist: el-o-heem made the stars also.
NOTE: THE GREAT LUMINOUS BODY WAS THE SUN AND THE LESSER LUMINOUS BODY WAS THE MOON. THE SUN AND THE MOON WAS NAMES OF TWO PAGAN GODS

17 And el-o-heem set the luminous bodies in the expansion of the lofty to be luminous on the firm,

18 And to rule over the hot and over the twist, and to divide the illumination from the darkness: and el-o-heem saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And el-o-heem said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the swarming creature that has breath, and birds that may cover above the firm in the open expansion of lofty
.
21 And el-o-heem created great sea serpents(dragon), and every living creature that glide, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their portion, and every winged bird after his portion: and el-o-heem saw that it was good.

22 And el-o-heem blessed creation, saying, Bear fruit, and increase, and fill the waters in the roar, and let birds increase in the firm.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And el-o-heem said, Let the firm bring forth the living creature after his portion, a dumb beast, and rapidly moving animals, and living creatures of the firm after his portion: and it was so.

25 And el-o-heem made the living creature of the firm after his portion, and dumb beast after their portion, and every rapidly moving animal on the firm after his portion: and el-o-heem saw that it was good.

26 And el-o-heem said, Let us make a human being in our resemblance, after our likeness: and let the human being have rule over the fish of the roar, and over the birds of the lofty, and over the dumb beast, and over all the firm, and over every rapidly moving animal on the firm. NOTE : AT THIS POINT MANKIND HAD RULE OVER GOD'S CREATION AND WAS THE ORIGINAL PLAN FOR MAN

27 So el-o-heem created a human being in his own resemblance.
NOTE : THE HUMAN BEING MAN AND WOMAN WAS THE CROWNING ACHIEVEMENT OF CREATION

28 And el-o-heem blessed human beings, and el-o-heem said to human beings, Bear fruit, and increase, and fill the firm, and tread down the firm: and have rule over the fish of the roar, and over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that glide on the firm.

29 And el-o-heem said, look, I have given you every glisten sowing seed, which is on the face of all the firm, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree sowing seed; to you it shall be for food.

30 And to every living of the firm, and to every birds of the lofty, and to every thing that glide on the firm, wherein there is life, I have given every green glisten for food: and it was so.

31 And el-o-heem saw every thing that he had made, and, look, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Chapter 2 - A different approach of chapter 1 Adam's creation 4004 BC

1 Thus the lofty(heavens) and the firm(earth) were ended, and all the host of lofty and the firm.

2 And on the seventh day el-o-heem ended his employment which el-o-heem had made; and el-o-heem rested on the seventh day from all his employment which el-o-heem had made.

3 And el-o-heem blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in the 7th day el-o-heem had rested from all his employment which el-o-heem created and made.
NOTE : SANCTIFIED MEANS A DAY set apart for the service of God AND A DAY OF REST. NO WORK IS TO BE DONE

4 These are the family of the lofty and of the firm when they were created, in the day that jehovah el-o-heem made the firm and the lofty,

5 And every shrubbery spread out before it was in the firm, and every glisten spread out before it sprouted forth: for the Jehovah El-o-heem had not caused it to rain on the firm, and there was did not exist a human being to work the soil.

6 But there ascended a fog from the firm, and irrigated the whole face of the soil.

7 And the Jehovah El-o-heem formed a human being of the dust of the soil, and breathed into the human being nose the breath of life; and human being became a living soul.
NOTE : THE BREATH OF LIFE IS THE HUMAN SPIRIT THAT MAKES THE BODY ALIVE. THE REAL YOU IS THE SPIRIT

8 And JEHOVAH EL_O_HEEM planted a garden eastward in Eden(delight); and there el-o-heem put the human being whom he had formed.

9 And out of the soil made Jehovah El-o-heem to sprout forth every tree that is delight full to the sight, and good to eat; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and bad.

10 And a stream went out of Eden(delight) to irrigate the garden; and from there it was separated, and became into four heads.

11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it which surround the whole land of Havilah(THE SAND REGION), where there is gold;
NOTE : hAVILAH - It may perhaps be identified with the sandy tract which skirts Babylonia along the whole of its western border, stretching from the lower Euphrates to the mountains of Edom.
NOTE : GOLD - It was principally used for ornaments. Coined money was not known to the ancients till a comparatively late period; and on the Egyptian tombs gold is represented as being weighed in rings for commercial purposes
NOTE: Pison = It has traditionally been identified with the Phasis (modern Rion) or the Kur, a tributary of the Araxes. The Palla Copas canal has been suggested also.

12 And the gold of Havilah is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.
NOTE : BDELLIUM - aromatic gum like balsam which exuded from a particular tree (Borassus flabelliformis) still found in Arabia, Media, and India. It bears a resemblance in colour to myrrh.
NOTE : ONYX STONE - a hail; claw; hoof, (Heb. shoham), a precious stone adorning the breast-plate of the high priest and the shoulders of the ephod

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon(A STREAM): Gibon surround the whole land of Ethiopia(country of burnt faces).
NOTE : ETHIOPIA - a country which lay to the south of Egypt, beginning at Syene on the First Cataract and extending to beyond the confluence of the White and Blue Nile. It corresponds generally with what is now known as the Soudan (i.e., the land of the blacks).
NOTE : Gihon = An intermittent spring outside the walls of Jerusalem, south of the temple area

14 And the name of the third river is Hiddekel(the river of Idikla): HIDDEKEL goes toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates(GREAT RIVER).
NOTE : ASSYRIA WAS A EMPIRE FOUNDED BY NIMROD.
NOTE : TRADITION SITE IS A GROUP OF MOUNDS 12 MILES SOUTH OF UR
NOTE : Hiddekel = an archaic name for the Tigris River (Gen. 2: 14; Dan. 10:4). It is narrower than theEuphrates, but carries more water. It joins the Euphrates 100 miles from the Persian Gulf at Al Qurn
a
15 And Jehovah El-o-heem took the human being, and put the human being in the garden of Eden(delight) to work it and to guard it.

16 And Jehovah El-o-heem commanded the human being, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you can not eat from it: for in the day that you eat from that tree you shall surely die.
NOTE: TALKING ABOUT SPIRITUAL DEATH AND SEPARATION FROM GOD FIRST. PHYSICAL DEATH IS TO FOLLOW LATER
NOTE : THIS WAS A COMMAND TO FOLLOW THAT GOD EXPECTED IT TO BE FOLLOWED
NOTE : 15 - 17 EDENIC COVENANT 1) POPULATE THE EARTH 2) SUBDUE THE EARTH 3) EXERCISE RULE OVER THE ANIMAL KINGDOM 4) CARE FOR THE GARDEN OF EDEN(DELIGHT) AND ENJOY ITS FRUIT 5) REFRAIN FROM EATING FROM THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND BAD UNDER PENELTY OF DEATH
NOTE : THIS COVENANT WAS BROKEN WHEN ADAM AND EVE DISOBEYED

18 And JEHOVAH EL_O_HEEM said, It is not good that the human male should be alone; I will make the human male a helper for the human male.
NOTE : HELPER WAS A COUNTERPART FOR MAN AND ON EQUAL GROUND.

19 And out of the soil Jehovah El-o-heem formed every living creature of the spread out, and every bird of the lofty; and brought them to Adam(human being) to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the creature name.

20 And Adam(human being) gave names to all dumb beast, and to the birds of the lofty, and to every living creature of the spread out; but for Adam there was not found a helper for him.

21 And Jehovah El-o-heem caused a deep sleep to be casted on Adam, and he slept: and el-o-heem took one of Adam's ribs, and shut up the flesh;
NOTE : SURGERY TOOK PLACE HERE

22 And the rib, which Jehovah El-o-heem had taken from Adam, el-o-heem made a woman, and brought her to Adam.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man(Adam).
NOTE : The head of the woman is the man;" but yet honour is to be shown to the wife, "as unto the weaker vessel

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall CLING or adhere to his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
NOTE : THE FIRST INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE SPECIFIED HERE AND APPROVED AND BLESSED BY THE LORD.IT IS GOD'S PLAN FOR A MAN AND A WOMEN TO BE ONE IN MIND AND SPIRIT TO WHERE THEY BOTH LOOK THE SAME. It is evident that monogamy was the original law of marriage.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
note : THERE WAS NO NEED TO COVER UP OR PUT ON CLOTHING. THIS WAS GOD'S ORIGINAL PLAN

Chapter 3 - The fall

1 Now the snake was more cunning than any living beast of the spread out which Jehovah El-o-heem had made. And the snake said to the woman, has el-o-heem said, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
NOTE: TO GET THE WOMAN TO DOUBT GOD'S WORD. SHE WAS VERSE ON WHAT TREE NOT TO EAT FROM ADAM BY THE ANSWER NEXT THREE VERSES.

2 And the woman said to the snake, We(adam and eve) may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the center of the garden, El-o-heem said, You shall not eat of the fruit, neither shall you touch it, for you will die.
NOTE : 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you can not eat from it: for in the day that you eat from that tree you shall surely die.
NOTE : RESPONDED CORRECTLY WITH THE WORD

4 And the snake said to the woman, you shall not die:
NOTE : 2 TACTIC OF THE ENEMY DOUBT GOD'S WORD AND FIND ERRORS IN GOD'S WORD

5 For EL-O-HEEM does know that in the day ye eat, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be as gods, knowing good and bad(evil).
NOTE : CHAPTER 1 And el-o-heem said, Let us make a human being in our resemblance, after our likeness. We was already in the likeness of God except we only knew good not evil. We had everything we needed knowing good. God never intended for us to know evil or bad like he knew.satan and his rebellion and the evil that came with that. Satan here suggesting that we was blind and God did not give us the full package

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that the tree was a delight to the eyes, and a tree to delight in to make one intelligent, she took of the fruit, and did eat, and gave to her husband(Adam) with her; and he did eat.
NOTE; TOTAL DISOBEDIENCE OF GOD'S COMMANDMENT. SPIRTUAL AND PHYSICAL DEATH IS NOW ENTERED INTO THE HUMAN RACE. LUST OF THE FLESH, LUST OF THE EYES, PRIDE OF LIFE 3 SINS HERE. THE DESIRE TO BE YOUR OWN GOD IS NOW IN THE HUMAN RACE. BECAUSE OF THIS ACT EVERY HUMAN BEING BORN IN THIS WORLD IS BORN ON DEATH ROW. THERE IS NO GOOD IN HUMANS

NOTE : GOOD FOR FOOD(PHYSICAL), DELIGHT TO THE EYES(EMOTIONAL), MAKE ONE INTELLIGENT(SPIRITUAL). BEGINNING OF SELF AWARENESS. EVERY HUMAN BEING BORN AFTER ADAM WAS A SINNER BEFORE GOD AND ON DEATH ROW

7 And the eyes of Adam and Eve were opened(to evil now), and Adam and Eve knew that they were naked; and Adam and Eve they sewed fig leaves together, and made aprons.
NOTE ; BEFORE VERSE 6 THEY HAD NO NEED OF COVERING BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ASHAMED TO BE NAKED AND WALK AROUND NAKED. BECAUSE OF SIN WE HAVE THE URGE TO COVER OUR BODIES AND TRY TO HIDE THE SIN CONDITION

8 And they heard the sound of Jehovah El-o-heem walking in the garden in the wind of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of Jehovah El-o-heem among the trees of the garden.

9 And Jehovah El-o-heem call out to Adam, and said to Adam, Where are you?

10 And Adam said, I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
NOTE: MANY TIMES BEFORE THE FALL GOD WOULD BE FACE TO FACE WITH THE NAKED HUMANS AND THE HUMANS WERE NOT ASHAMED

11 And eL-O-heem said, Who told you Adam that you was naked? Have you eaten of the tree, I commanded you that you should not eat?

12 And Adam said, The woman Eve you gave to be with me, Eve gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
NOTE ; PASSING THE BUCK. NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS

13 And JEHOVAH El-o-heem said to the woman, What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent lead me astray, and I did eat.
NOTE; I HAD NO CONTROL OVER MY ACTIONS

14 And JEHOVAH El-o-heem said to the snake, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all dumb beast, and above every living creature of the spread out; on your belly shall you walk, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life:

15 And El-o-heem will put hostility or hatred between the snake and the woman, and between the snake's sowing and the woman's sowing; the sowing shall snap at your head, and you will snap at his heel.

16 to the woman el-o-heem said, I will increase your pain and your pregnancy; in sorrow you will bear children; and your stretching out after shall be to your man, and he shall rule or have power over you.

17 And to Adam el-o-heem said, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, you shall not eat of the tree: cursed is the soil because of you; in pain shall you eat of the soil all the days of your life;

18 Thorns and thistles shall the soil sprout out to you; and you will eat the glisten of the spread out;

19 In the sweat of your nose shall you eat food, till you turn back to the soil; for out of the soil was you taken: for dust you are, and to dust shall you turn back.
";
20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve(lifegiver); because she was the mother of all living.
NOTE ; ALL HUMAN LIFE CAME FROM EVE

21 to Adam and to Adam's wife did Jehovah El-o-heem made coveerings of skins, and clothed Adam and Eve.
NOTE ; GOD HAD TO KILL A ANIMAL TO MAKE THE COVERINGS OF SKIN

The Adamic Covenant v 14 -21 This replaced the edenic covenant

1) The snake is cursed and Satan is cursed
2) Satan is judged with limited success
3) The first phophecy of the coming Messiah is given(v15)
4) multiplication of conception and the introducation of death
5) pain in childbirth
6) woman's relationship with her husband is distorted
7) ground or soil is cursed and will bring forth weeds
8) creation resists man's efforts to order it
9) tolls in frustration all his life
10) man dies spiritually and will ultimately die physically and his flesh will decay until itreturns to dust

22 And JEHOVAH El-o-heem said, look, the human being is become as one of us, to know good and bad: and now, if the human being send out their hand, and take of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23 Therefore Jehovah El-o-heem sent the human beings from the garden of Eden(delight), to work the soil from where the human being was taken.

24 So El-o-heem drove out the human beings; and el-o-heem placed at the east of the garden of Eden(delight) Cherubims, and a blazing sword which turned every way, to guard the road to the tree of life.
NOTE: CHERUBIMS WAS HEAVENLY BEINGS WHO ACCOMPANY GOD WHEREVER HE GOES. TWO GOLD REPLICAS OF CHERUBIMS FLANKED THE MERCY SEAT THE SYMBOLIC THRONE OF THE lORD

Chapter 4

1 And Adam had sex with Eve his wife; and she became pregnant, and produced Cain, and said, I have created a man from Jehovah
NOTE: CAIN = His lineage would later be wiped out after the Genesis flood narrative. consider Cain to be the originator of evil, violence, or greed. According to Genesis, Cain was the first human born and the first murderer. a Jewish work of the first century CE, narrates that Cain murdered his brother at the age of 15. After escaping to the Land of Nod, Cain fathered four sons: Enoch, Olad, Lizpha and Fosal; and two daughters: Citha and Maac. Cain died at the age of 730, leaving his corrupt descendants spreading evil on earth.[27] According to the Book of Jubilees, Cain murdered his brother with a stone. Afterwards, Cain was killed by the same instrument he used against his brother; his house fell on him and he was killed by its stones.

2 And Eve again produced his brother Abel. And Abel was a tender of sheep, but Cain was a worker of the soil.
NOTE: According to the Coptic Book of Adam and Eve (at 2:1–15), and the Syriac Cave of Treasures, Abel's body, after many days of mourning, was placed in the Cave of Treasures, before which Adam and Eve, and descendants, offered their prayers. In addition, the Sethite line of the Generations of Adam swear by Abel's blood to segregate themselves from the unrighteous.

3 And in extremity of hot it came to pass, that Cain came with the fruit of the soil an donation to Jehovah.

4 And Abel, came with the firstlings of his flock and the fat. And Jerovah gaze at Abel and to his donation:
NOTE : A BLOOD SACRIFICE HERE
5 But to Cain and to his donation Jehovah did not gaze at. And Cain was growing very warm, and his face countenance fell.
NOTE: CAIN WORKS WAS EVIL (1 JOHN 3:12 - NOT AS CAIN WHO WAS OF THAT WICKED ONE AND KILLED HIS BROTHER. AND WHEREFORE KILL HE HIM? BECAUSE CAIN'S OWN WORKS WERE EVIL AND CAIN'S BROTHER.RIGHTEOUS

6 And Jehovah said to Cain, Why are you growing warm? and why is your face fallen?

7 If you do well, shall you not be elevated? and if you do not well, a offence crouch at the door. And to you shall be the offence stretching out after, and you shall rule over the offence.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and killed him.
NOTE :FIRST MURDER

9 And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother? And Cain said, I do not know: Am I my brother's hedge or guard?

10 And Jehovah said, What have you done? the call aloud of your brother's blood proclaim to me from the soil.

11 And now are you cursed from the soil, which has opened her mouth to take your brother's blood from your hand;

12 When you work the soil, the soil shall not add to you her firm; a waver and a vagabond shall you be in the firm.

13 And Cain said to Jehovah, My evil is greater than I can lift.

14 look, you have driven me out from a possession this day from the face of the soil; and from your face shall I be hid; and I shall be a waver and a vagabond in the firm; and it shall come to exist, that every one that finds me shall kill me.

15 And Jehovah said to Cain, Therefore whosoever smite Cain with deadly intent, vengeance shall be taken on the person that smite Cain seven times. And Jehovah put a signal on Cain, so any come forth to Cain should strike him.

16 And Cain went out from the face of Jehovah, and sat down or remained in the land of Nod(wanderer), on the east of Eden(delight).
NOTE : Cain built a godless civilazation. Some think it to be china

17 And Cain had sex with his wife; and she became pregnant, and had a child named Enoch(teacher): and Cain build a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
Note : GENESIS 5:4 AND THE DAYS OF ADAM AFTER HE HAD SETH WERE 800 YEARS: AND HE HAD SONS AND DAUGHTERS
NOTE: ACCORDING TO THE ABOVE NOTE THE WIFE OF CAIN WAS HIS SISTER

18 Enoch had a child named Irad: and Irad had a child named Mehujael(God is combatting): and Mehujael had a child named Methusael(man of God): and Methusael had a child named Lamech(strong youth).
NOTE : IRAD (GRAMDSON OF CAIN)... Mehujael(Smitten of God) ... Methusael(champion of EL)..Lamech(the wild man)

19 And Lamech married two wives: the name of the one was Adah(ORNAMENT), and the name of the other Zillah.(protection)
NOTE : THIS WAS NOT GOD'S ORIGINAL ORDER OF MARRIAGE. LAMECH BROKE AWAY FROM GOD'S ORDER BY MARRYING TWO WIVES (FIRST PROLIGMIST). HE WAS RUDE, FEARING NEITHER GOD NOR MAN. WITH LAMECH THE CURTAIN FALLS ON THE RACE OF CAIN
;
20 And Adah had a child named Jabal(moving): he was the father of such as live in tents, and of such as have cattle.
NOTE : Jabal was a nomad

21 And Adah brother's name was Jubal(playing): he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

22 And Zillah, she also had a child named Tubalcain(, an instructor of every fabricator in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah(pleasent).
NOTE : The rabbinical tradition is just as condemning of Naamah. While a minority, such as Abba ben Kahana, see Naamah as having become Noah's wife,[3] and being so named because her conduct was pleasing to God, the majority of classical rabbinical sources consider her name to be due to her singing pleasant songs in worship of idols.

23 And Lamech said to his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, broaden out your ear to my word: for I have smite with deadly intent a man to my wounding, and a young man to my bound.
NOTE: Rabbi tradition = Lamech first loses his sight from age, and had to be led by Tubal-Cain, the seventh generation from Cain. Tubal-Cain saw in the distance something that he first took for an animal, but it was actually Cain (still alive, due to the extensive life span of the antediluvians) whom Lamech had accidentally killed with an arrow. When they discovered who it was, Lamech, in sorrow, clapped his hands together, accidentally striking and killing Tubal-Cain. In consequence, Lamech's wives desert him. After Lamech claps his hands he strikes the tubal-cain on the head. To ensure his death, he then smashed his head with a rock.

24 If Cain shall be punished seven times, truly Lamech seventy and 7 times

25 And Adam had sex with his wife again; and Eve had a son, and called his name Seth(sprout): For El-o-heem, said Eve, appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.

26 And to Seth, there was born a son; and Seth called his name Enos(mortal): then began men to call out to the name of Jehovah.
NOTE : The traditional Jewish interpretation of this verse, though, implies that it marked the beginning of idolatry, i.e. that men start dubbing "Lord" things that were mere creatures.
"; NOTE: Seth married his sister Azura who was four years younger. Seth was 105 years old when he had Enos
NOTE: Enos was the father of Kenan who was born when Enos was 90 years old. Enos died at 905 years old

Chapter 5

1 This is the writing of the family of Adam. In the hot that El-o-heem created human beings, in the resemblance of El-o-heem was human beings made;

2 Male and female was human beings created; and blessed human beings, and call out to their name human being, in the hot when they were created.

3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and had a son in Adam own likeness, after Adam's image; and called his name Seth(substituted):
NOTE : ADAM ACCORDING TO CHAPTER 1:26 WAS IN THE LIKENESS OF GOD
NOTE : And el-o-heem said, Let us make a human being in our resemblance, after our likeness:
NOTE : SETH AND THE REST OF HUMAN KIND WAS BORN AFTER THE LIKENESS OF ADAM AND NOT AFTER THE LIKENESS OF GOD. ADAM PASSED TO HIS CHILDREN AND THE REST OF MANKIND HIS OWN FALLEN IMAGE WHICH NOW INCLUDED THE SIN NATURE

4 And the days of Adam after he had Seth were eight hundred years: and Adam had sons and daughters:

5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

6 And Seth(substituted) lived an hundred and five years, and had Enos:

7 And Seth lived after he had Enos eight hundred and seven years, and had sons and daughters:

8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.

9 And Enos lived ninety years, and had Cainan(fixed):
NOTE: Cainan = possessor of great astrological wisdom.

10 And Enos lived after he had Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and had sons and daughters:

11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.

12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and had Mahalaleel(praise of God):

13 And Cainan lived after he had Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and had sons and daughters:

14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.

15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and had Jared(descent):

16 And Mahalaleel lived after he had Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters:

17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.

18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he had Enoch(initiated):

19 And Jared lived after he had Enoch eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters:

20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and had Methuselah:
Note : Methuselah died one week before the great flood
NOTE: Methuselah is designated by God as a priest after father's death. Methuselah asks his father for a blessing, and.is given instructions on how to live righteously. After his father ascends into heaven, Methuselah and his brothers build a altar and make great festivity, praising God who has given such a sign by means of Enoch. Jewish writing states that when Noah was 480 years old all the righteous men were dead except Methuselah and Noah. At God's command they both announced that 120 years would be given to men for repentance; if in that time they had not mended their evil ways, the earth would be destroyed. BVut their plea was in vain, even while Noah was engaged in building the ark the wicked made sport of Noah and his work, saying "if the flood should come, it could not harm us. Wer are too tall; and moreever, we could close up with our feetthe springs from below. God heated the water and their feet andthe flesh of their bodies were scaided. Methuselah lived until the ark was built but died before the flood.

22 And Enoch walked with God after he had Methuselah three hundred years, and had sons and daughters:

23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:

24 And Enoch walked with el-o-heem: and he was not; for el-o-heem took Enoch.
NOTE: HE WAS NOT MEANS HE DID NOT DIE BUT WAS RAPTURE. THIS IS A OLD TESTMENT VIEW OF WHAT THERAPTURE WILL LOOK LIKE. ONE MOMENT YOU THERE THE NEXT MOMENT YOU ARE GONE

25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and had Lamech(strong youth):

26 And Methuselah lived after he had Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and had sons and daughters:

27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and had a son:

29 And Lamech called his son name Noah(rest), saying, Noah shall be sorry for us concerning our action and labor of our hands, part of the soil which Jehovah has cursed.

chapter 6

1 And it came to pass, when human beings began to cast together on the face of the soil, and daughters bearing young,
2 That the sons of el-o-heem saw the daughters of human beings that they were good; and the sons of el-o-heem took woman of all which they selected.
3 And Jehovah said, My wind shall not always rule with a human being, for the human being gather sin: yet his hot shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were tyrants or bullies in the firm in those days; and also after that, when the sons of el-o-heem had sex with the daughters of human beings, and daughters of human beings had children to the sons of el-o-heem, the children became powerful which were of the vanishing point, men of a mark.

5 And Jehovah saw that the evil of human beings was abundant in the firm, and that every form of the thoughts of his heart was only bad all the time.

6 And the evil made Jehovah sorry that he had made human beings on the firm, and the evil caused Jehovah pain at his heart.

7 And Jehovah said, I will erase human beings whom I have created from the face of the soil; both human beings, and dumb beast, and the rapidly moving animals, and the birds of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah(rest) found favor or grace in the eyes of Jehovah.

9 These are the family of Noah: Noah was a righteous man and entire in his familys, and Noah walked with El-o-heem
NOTE: CHAPTER 5:22 And Enoch walked with God WAS RAPTURED

10 And Noah(rest) HAD three sons, Shem(name), Ham(hot), and Japheth(expansion).

11 The firm also was decaying before El-o-heem, and the firm was filled with violence and wrong doing.

12 And El-o-heem looked on the firm and it was decaying; for all flesh had decay his road on the firm.

13 And El-o-heem said to Noah(rest), The end of all flesh has come before me; for the firm is filled with violence and wrong through all flesh; and, look, I will decay them with the firm
.
14 Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt you make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

15 And this is the fashion which you shall make the ark: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits(450 ft), the breadth of it fifty cubits(75 ft), and the height of it thirty cubits(45 ft high).
NOTE : ARK REPRESENT REVEALS THE JUDGEMENT AND MERCY OF GOD. DESTRUCATION OF THE WICKED AND THE PRESERVATION OF THE HUMAN RACE THROUGH NOAH

16 A window shalt you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt you set in the side; with lower, second, and third stories shalt you make it.

17 And, look, I, even I, do bring a deluge of waters on the firm, to decay all flesh, wherein is the wind of life, from the bottom of the lofty; and every thing that is in the firm shall expire or die.

18 But with thee will I rise my covenant; and you shalt come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you.

19 And of every living thing, two of every sort shalt come into the ark, to live with you; they shall be male and female.

20 Of birds after their kind, and of dumb beast after their kind, of rapidly moving animals and reptile of the soil after his kind, two of every sort shall come to you, to live with you.

21 And take you to you of all food that is eaten, and you shalt gather it to you; and the gather shall be for food for you, and for every living thing in the ark.

22 Thus did Noah(rest); according to all that El-o-heem commanded Noah, so did Noah.

Chapter 7

"
1 And Jehovah said to Noah(rest), Come you and all your house into the ark; for you have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 Of every pure dumb beast you shall take to you by sevens, the male and his female: and of dumb beasts that are not pure by two, the male and his female.
NOTE: THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN PURE AND NOT PURE WAS RELIGIOUS. LATER ON ONLY PURE COULD BE USED FOR SACRIFICIAL PURPOSES

3 Of birds also of the lofty by sevens, the male and the female; to live on the face of all the firm.

4 For in seven days, I will cause it to rain on the firm forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I erase from off the face of the soil.

5 And Noah(rest) did according to all that Jehovah commanded him.

6 And Noah(rest) was six hundred years old when the deluge of waters was upon the firm.

7 And Noah(rest) went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the deluge.

8 Of pure dumb beasts, and of dumb beasts that are not pure, and of birds, and of every thing that glide on the soil,

9 There went in two and two to Noah(rest) into the ark, the male and the female, as el-o-heem had commanded Noah(rest).

10 And after seven days, that the waters of the deluge were on the firm.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the abundant abyss cleave up, and the windows of lofty were opened wide.

12 And the rain was upon the firm forty days and forty nights.

13 In the same day entered Noah(rest), and Shem(name), and Ham(hot), and Japheth(expansion), the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 and every living beast after his kind, and all the dumb beast after their kind, and every rapidly moving animal and reptile that glide on the firm after his kind, and every bird after his kind, every little bird of every extremity.

15 And they went in to Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the wind of life.

16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as El-o-heem had commanded Noah(rest): and Jehovah shut Noah in the ark.

17 And the deluge was forty days on the firm; and the waters increased, and lifted the ark, and it was high above the firm.

18 And the waters was strong, and were increased greatly on the firm; and the ark walked on the face of the waters.

19 And the waters was strong exceedingly on the firm; and all the elevated mountains, that were at the bottom of the lofty, were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters be strong; and the mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh expired or died that glide on the firm, both of birds, and dumb beast, and living beast, and of every creeping thing that wriggle on the firm, and every human being

22 All in whose nostrils was the wind of life, of all that was in the desert land, died.

23 And every living standing was erased which was on the face of the soil, both human beings, and dumb beast, and the rapidly moving animal, and the birds of the lofty; and they were erased from the firm: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters was strong on the firm an hundred and fifty days.

Chapter 8

1 And El-o-heem marked Noah(rest), and every living thing, and all the dumb beast that was with Noah in the ark: and El-o-heem cross over a wind to cross over the firm, and the waters weavered
NOTE: GOD HERE ACTING ON NOAH'S BEHALF OUT OF CONCERN FOR EVERYTHING IN THE ARK

3 And the waters turned back from off the firm walking: and after the extremity of the hundred and fifty days the waters were lacking

4 And the ark settle down in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
NOTE : A MOUNTAIN RANGE SOUTHEAST OF THE BLACK SEA AND WEST OF THE CASPIAN SEA. 200 MILES NORTH OF NINEVAH. 17,000 fT HIGH

5 And the waters lacked walking until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the head of the mountains seen.

6 And it came to pass at the extremity of forty days, that Noah(rest) opened wide the window of the ark which Noah had made

7 And Noah(rest) sent forth a raven, which go to and turn back, until the waters were confused and dried up from off the soil.

8 Also Noah sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the soil

9 But the dove found no home for the sole of her foot, and the dove turn back to Noah in the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole firm: then Noah put forth his hand, and took the dove, and pulled the dove in to Noah into the ark.

10 And Noah stayed yet other seven days; and again Noah sent forth the dove out of the ark

11 And the dove came in to Noah in the evening; and, look, in the dove's mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the firm

12 And Noah stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which turn back not add to Noah any more.

13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were parched from off the firm: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the soil was parched.

14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the firm confused or dried.

15 And El-o-heem spake to Noah, saying

16 Go out of the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with thee.

17 Go with you every living thing that is with you, of all flesh, both of birds, and of dumb beast, and of every rapidly moving animal that glide on the firm; that they may breed abundantly in the firm, and bear fruit, and increase on the firm.

18 And Noah came out, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:

19 Every living thing, every rapidly moving animal, and every bird, and whatsoever glide on the firm, after their families, came out of the ark.

20 And Noah build an altar to Jehovah; and took of every pure dumb beast, and of every pure fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

21 And Jehovah breathe a sweet odor; and Jehovah said in his heart, I will not add curse to the soil any more for human being's account; for the form of a human being's heart is evil or.bad from his childhood; neither will I add striking any more every thing living, as I have done.

22 While the firm is hot, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and harvest and crop, and hot and twist shall not end.

16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the vanishing point covenant between El-o-heem and every living breathing of all flesh that is upon the firm.

17 And El-o-heem said to Noah, This is the signal of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the firm.

18 And the sons of Noah(rest), that went out of the ark, were Shem(name), and Ham(hot), and Japheth(expansion): and Ham is the father of Canaan.

19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole firm scattered.

20 And Noah began to be an soil man, and he planted a vineyard:

8 And Cush had a son named Nimrod(: he began to be a powerful one(tyrant) in the firm.
NOTE : NIMROD IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TOWER OF BABEL AND HAD A REPUTATION AS A KING WHO WAS REBELLIOUS AGAINST GOD.
NOTE : An early Arabic work known as Kitab al-Magall or the Book of Rolls (part of Clementine literature) states that Nimrod built the towns of Hadaniun, Ellasar, Seleucia, Ctesiphon, Ruhin, Atrapatene, Telalan, and others, that he began his reign as king over earth when Reu was 163, and that he reigned for 69 years, building Nisibis, Raha (Edessa) and Harran when Peleg was 50. It further adds that Nimrod "saw in the sky a piece of black cloth and a crown". He called upon Sasan the weaver and commanded him to make him a crown like it, which he set jewels on and wore. He was allegedly the first king to wear a crown. "For this reason people who knew nothing about it, said that a crown came down to him from heaven." Later, the book describes how Nimrod established fire worship and idolatry, then received instruction in divination for three years from Bouniter
NOTE : Jewish traditions that Nimrod inherited the garments of Adam and Eve from his father Cush, and that these made him invincible
NOTE : A confrontation between Nimrod and Abraham is said to have taken place, according to several Jewish and Islamic traditions. Some stories bring them both together in a cataclysmic collision, seen as a symbol of the confrontation between Good and Evil, and/or as a symbol of monotheism against polytheism
NOTE: Nimrod is considered the leader of those who built the Tower of Babel and a king that is rebellious against God
NOTE : Josephus wrote: Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God. He was the grandson of Ham, the son of Noah, a bold man, and of great strength of hand. He persuaded them not to ascribe it to God, as if it were through his means they were happy, but to believe that it was their own courage which procured that happiness. He also gradually changed the government into tyranny, seeing no other way of turning men from the fear of God, but to bring them into a constant dependence on his power. He also said he would be revenged on God, if he should have a mind to drown the world again; for that he would build a tower too high for the waters to reach. And that he would avenge himself on God for destroying their forefathers. Now the multitude were very ready to follow the determination of Nimrod, and to esteem it a piece of cowardice to submit to God; and they built a tower, neither sparing any pains, nor being in any degree negligent about the work: and, by reason of the multitude of hands employed in it, it grew very high, sooner than any one could expect; but the thickness of it was so great, and it was so strongly built, that thereby its great height seemed, upon the view, to be less than it really was. It was built of burnt brick, cemented together with mortar, made of bitumen, that it might not be liable to admit water. When God saw that they acted so madly, he did not resolve to destroy them utterly, since they were not grown wiser by the destruction of the former sinners; but he caused a tumult among them, by producing in them diverse languages, and causing that, through the multitude of those languages, they should not be able to understand one another. The place wherein they built the tower is now called Babylon, because of the confusion of that language which they readily understood before; for the Hebrews mean by the word Babel, confusion ...

9 Nimrod was a powerful chaser facing Jehovah: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the powerful chaser facing Jehovah.

10 And the beginning of Nimrod's domination was Babel(confusion), and Erech(length), and Accad(to strengthen a fortess), and Calneh(, in the land of Babylon.

The Semitic Babylonians ("the white race"), or, as some scholars think, first the Cushites, and afterwards, as a second immigration, the Semites, invaded and conquered this country; and then the Accadian language ceased to be a spoken language, although for the sake of its literary treasures it continued to be studied by the educated classes of Babylonia. this city was north of babel or babylion
NOTE CALNEH = dentifying Calneh with the modern Nippur, a lofty mound of earth and rubbish situated in the marshes on the east bank of the Euphrates, but 30 miles distant from its present course, and about 60 miles south-south-east from Babylon. WORSHIP OF THE god Enlil took place here.

The ruins of Nineveh are surrounded by the remains of a massive stone and mudbrick wall dating from about 700 BC. About 12 km in length, the wall system consisted of an ashlar stone retaining wall about 6 metres (20 ft) high surmounted by a mudbrick wall about 10 metres (33 ft) high and 15 metres (49 ft) thick. The stone retaining wall had projecting stone towers spaced about every 18 metres (59 ft). The stone wall and towers were topped by three-step merlons.
NOTE : ISHTAR = she is sometimes the daughter of the sky god An, sometimes his wife; in other myths she is the daughter of Nanna, god of the moon, or of the wind god, Enlil. In her earliest manifestations she was associated with the storehouse and thus personified as the goddess of dates, wool, meat, and grain; the storehouse gates were her emblem. She was also the goddess of rain and thunderstorms—leading to her association with An, the sky god—and was often pictured with the lion, whose roar resembled thunder. Inanna was also a fertility figure, and, as goddess of the storehouse and the bride of the god Dumuzi-Amaushumgalana, who represented the growth and fecundity of the date palm, she was characterized as young, beautiful, and impulsive—never as helpmate or mother. She is sometimes referred to as the Lady of the Date Clusters. associated with the planet Venus. With Shamash, the sun god, and Sin, the moon god, she forms a secondary astral triad. In this manifestation her symbol is a star with 6, 8, or 16 rays within a circle. As goddess of Venus, delighting in bodily love, Ishtar was the protectress of prostitutes and the patroness of the alehouse. Part of her cult worship probably included temple prostitution. she was known as Queen of the Universe,
MOTE : Dagon was the fish god of ninevah. This image shows that the idol was represented in the combination of both man and fish. the symbol of a fish in human form was really meant to represent fertility and the vivifying powers of nature and reproduction.
Dagon = "When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the temple of Dagon and set it by Dagon. And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only the torso of Dagon was left of it. Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon's house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day." - 1 Sam 5:2-5

Genesis 11

1 And the whole firm was of one language, and of one word.

2 And it came to pass, as they pull from the east, that come forth a plain in the firm of Shinar(a plain in babylon); and they sat down there.

3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose shake the head may reach unto lofty; and let us make us a memorial, lest we be scattered abroad upon the firm.

5 And Jehovah descended to see the city and the tower, which the son of human beings builded.

6 And Jehovah said, Look, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be clip off from them, which they have imagined to do.

7 Go to, let us descend, and there mix their language, that they may not hear intelligently one another's word.

8 So Jehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the firm: and they desist building the city.

9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel(confusion); because Jehovah did there mixed the language of all the firm: and from thence did Jehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the firm.

10 These are the family of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
Note : arphaxed died at age 438 years old. .He dwelt in Mesopotamia, and became, according to the Jewish historian Josephus, the progenitor of the Chaldean

11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

12 And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:

13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

14 And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
note : great-grandson of Shem and father of Peleg and Joktan. The word means "the other side," "across," and the form "Hebrew," which is derived from it, is intended to denote the people or tribe who came "from the other, side of the river"

15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.

16 And Eber lived four and thirty years, and begat Peleg:
note : Peleg's son was Reu, born when Peleg was thirty, and he had other sons and daughters. According to the Hebrew Bible, Peleg lived to the age of 239 years.

17 And Eber lived after he begat Peleg four hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters.

18 And Peleg lived thirty years, and begat Reu:

19 And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters.

20 And Reu lived two and thirty years, and begat Serug:
note: serug was 30 years old when Nahor was born, and he lived for another 200 years, making his age at death 230.

21 And Reu lived after he begat Serug two hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters.

22 And Serug lived thirty years, and begat Nahor:
note : Nahor married the daughter of his brother Haran, Milcah, his niece

23 And Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah:
note : Terah married a woman named Amathlai, daughter of Karnebo.2 When he was seventy, his wife bore him a son named Abraham (then called Abram). Abraham was followed by two more sons, Nahor3 and Haran.
Initially Terah lived in the Chaldean city of Ur Kasdim, but at one point he decided to journey to the Land of Canaan (better known by its later name, the Land of Israel).5 Accompanying him were Abraham, Abraham’s wife Sarah (then called Sarai), and Haran’s son Lot. (Haran himself had died in Ur Kasdim, and Nahor apparently decided to remain behind.6) Along the way they stopped in the city of Haran,7 where they decided to stay. Die at age 205 years old

Midrashic sources9 provide deeper insight into Terah’s life. Nimrod, king of Babylon, appointed him Chief General of his armed forces, making Terah the highest official in the land, beloved and respected by all. On the night of Abraham’s birth, Terah’s friends and servants gathered in his house to celebrate. As they left his home, they looked up to the sky and saw a large star ascend from the east and swallow four stars from the four corners of the sky. They understood this to mean that Terah’s new son would ultimately conquer the land and vanquish his enemies. When Nimrod heard, he summoned Terah to his palace and commanded he bring his son to be killed, promising vast riches in return. Terah cleverly attempted to sway the king’s mind. “Let me first relate what else happened last night,” he said. “Someone approached me and offered me a huge sum of money to sell my best horse, which His Majesty gave me as a gift. Would you suggest I agree to the deal?” “That would be ridiculous,” Nimrod replied. “You are quite wealthy, and nothing can replace the horse I gave you, which is the best in the land!” “This is precisely what you are asking of me,” Terah argued. “What can money do to replace my own child?” Furious, Nimrod threatened, “If you do not bring me your child, I will kill your entire family!” Terah was undeterred. He secretly hid Abraham in a cave together with his mother and wet nurse, and provided them with food on a monthly basis. This is where young Abraham spent the first few years of his life.

Not only did Terah worship idols, but he even operated a business selling deities. Once, Terah needed to leave his store, and he appointed Abraham to sell the idols in his stead. However, Abraham discouraged potential customers from buying the idols, explaining to them the futility of worshipping statues that were only fashioned that very day. Not satisfied with this, Abraham took an ax and destroyed all but one of his father’s idols. He took the ax and placed it in the hand of the largest idol, the only one that remained intact. When Terah returned and saw what had happened, he accused Abraham. But Abraham explained that the largest idol had broken all the others in a fight over an offering that a woman had brought to the store. Terah exclaimed that such a thing was impossible. He then realized that his son had tricked him into admitting that his idols were powerless. Terah reported his son to Nimrod, and the king sentenced Abraham to death by burning. Abraham was thrown into a fiery furnace, but miraculously he remained unscathed. Meanwhile, Abraham’s brother Haran was unsure with whom to side, Abraham or Nimrod. He decided that he would join whichever party emerged victorious. When Abraham was saved from the flames, Haran proclaimed that he belonged to Abraham’s camp. He was duly thrown into the furnace and died.

The Midrash recounts that Terah was a stargazer, and he saw in the stars that his son Haran would be burned.

Although Terah spent many years worshipping idols, he ultimately repented, recognizing the futility of his previous way of life and embracing monotheism.

25 And Nahor lived after he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and begat sons and daughters.

26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

28 And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
note: see above note
29 And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

30 But Sarai was barren; she had no child.
31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there. note : Although Ur was once a coastal city near the mouth of the Euphrates on the Persian Gulf, the coastline has shifted and the city is now well inland, on the south bank of the Euphrates, 16 kilometres (9.9 miles) from Nasiriyah in modern-day Iraq.

The city dates from the Ubaid period circa 3800 BC, and is recorded in written history as a city-state from the 26th century BC, its first recorded king being Mesannepada. The city's patron deity was Nanna (in Akkadian, Sin), the Sumerian and Akkadian (Assyrian-Babylonian) moon god, and the name of the city is in origin derived from the god's name. UNUGKI, literally "the abode (UNUG) of Nanna".

The site is marked by the partially restored ruins of the Ziggurat of Ur, which contained the shrine of Nanna, excavated in the 1930s

32 And the days of Terah were two hundred and five years: and Terah died in Haran. note : Haran was a place where Terah settled with his son the Patriarch Abraham (who was known as Abram at that time), his nephew Lot, and Abram's wife Sarai, all of them descendants of Arpachshad son of Shem, during their planned journey from Ur Kasdim (Ur of the Chaldees) to the Land of Canaan.[1] The region of this Haran is referred to variously as Paddan Aram and Aram Naharaim. Abram lived there until he was 75 years old before continuing on to Canaan, in response to the command of God.[2] Although Abram's nephew Lot accompanied him to Canaan, Terah and his other descendants remained in Paddan-Aram,[3] where Abraham's grandson Jacob sought his parents' relatives, namely Laban, for whom he worked for twenty years in Haran.

Genesis 12

1 Now Jehovah said to Abram, Get out of your firm, and from your native country, and from your father's house, to a firm that I will show you

2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shalt be a prosperity

3 And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him/her that curseth you: and in you shall all families of the soil be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as Jehovah had spoken to him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
Note : Lot was abram mephew

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their property that they had collected, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
NOTE : inhabited by the descendants of Ham - son of Noah

6 And Abram passed through the land to the place of Sichem(vitality), to the plain of Moreh(teacher). And the Canaanite was then in the land.
note : Eliashib (probably the Manasse of Josephus, "Antiq., XI, vii, viii), who refused to separate from his alien wife, Sanaballat's daughter, and with him the many Jews, priests and laymen, who sided with the rebel, these betook themselves to Sichem; a schismatic temple was then erected on Mount Garizim and thus Sichem became the "holy city" of the Samaritans.
note : The plain or plains (or, as it should rather be rendered, the oak or oaks) of Moreh. The oak of Moreh was the first recorded halting-place of Abram after his entrance into the land of Canaan. ( Genesis 12:6 ) It was at the "place of Shechem," ch. ( Genesis 12:6 ) close to the mountains of Ebal and Gerizim. ( 11:30 )

7 And Jehovah appeared to Abram, and said, to your seed will I give this land: and there Abram builded an altar to Jehovah, who appeared to him.

8 And Abram removed from place of Sichem to a mountain on the east of Bethel(house of God), and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai(heap of ruins) on the east: and there Abram builded an altar to Jehovah, and called on the name of Jehovah.
Note: Bethal It is first mentioned in Genesis 12:8 as being near where Abram pitched his tent. Later in Genesis, it is the location where Jacob dreamt of seeing angels and God, and which he therefore named Bethel, "House of God." The name is further used for a border city located between the territory of the Israelite tribe of Benjamin and that of the tribe of Ephraim, which first belonged to the Benjaminites and was later conquered by the Ephraimites.
NOTE : Hai it was conquered by the Israelites on their second attempt. The ruins of the city are popularly thought to be in the modern-day archeological site Et-Tell.

9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.

10 And there was a hunger in the land of Cainaan: and Abram went down into Egypt to live there; for the hunger was heavy in the land of Canaan.

11 And it came to pass, when Abram was come near to enter into Egypt, that Abram said unto Sarai his wife, Look now, I know that you are a beautiful woman to look on:

12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save you alive.

13 Say, I ask you, you are my sister: that it may be well with me for your sake; and my soul shall live because of you.

14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians looked at Sarai that she was very beautiful.

15 The princes of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the Sarai was taken into Pharaoh's house.

16 And Pharoah treated Abram well for Sarai sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

17 And Jehovah lay the hand on Pharaoh and his house with great blows because of Sarai Abram's wife.
.
18 And Pharoah called out to Abram, and said, What have done to me? why did you not tell me that Sarai was your wife?

19 Why did you say, Sarai is my sister? so I might have taken Sarai to me as a woman: now therefore take your woman, and go your way.

20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning Abram: and they sent Abram away, and his wife, and all that he had.

CHAPTER 13

1 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.

2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

3 And Abram went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel(house of God), to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai(heap of ruins)
note : for city desc see note 12:8
4 to the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of Jehovah.

5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.

6 And the firm was not able to lift them, that they might sit down together: for their property was abundant, so that they could not sit down together.

7 And there was a contest between the tenders of Abram's live stock and the tenders of Lot's live stock: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite sat down then in the firm.

8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no quarrel, I ask thee, between me and you, and between my tenders and your tenders; for we be brothers.

9 Is not the whole firm before you? separate yourself, I ask thee, from me: if you will take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if you depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before Jehovah decayed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of Jehovah, like the firm of Egypt, as you come to Zoar.
Note : Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboim, and bela allies - These five cities, also known as the "cities of the plain" (from Genesis in the King James Version), were situated on the Jordan River plain in the southern region of the land of Canaan. The plain was compared to the garden of Eden as being well-watered and green, suitable for grazing livestock. Divine judgment was passed upon them and four of them were consumed by fire and brimstone
note : One of the most prevalent sins in Sodom was the homosexuality of the men, engaging in sexual relations with the other men and boys. Sodom is where we get the term “sodomy and sodomites” named after this widespread sin of the town.
note : Ezekiel c 16 - v49 - Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy.” (v49).
note : jude 7 - "...Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion.

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

13 But the men of Sodom were evil and sinners or guilty before Jehovah exceedingly.

14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:

15 For all the firm which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed for ever.

16 And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed also be numbered.

17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it to you.

18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and sat down in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar to Jehovah.

Genesis 14

1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
2 these kings made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar.
3 All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
4 Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.
5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim, NOTE : REPHAIMS = The word Rephaim is used in two different ways in Hebrew. It refers to the spirits of the departed dead who dwell in Sheol; it is a poetic description of the dead. It also refers to a strong, tall race of people who lived in Canaan.

6 And the Horites in their mount Seir, unto Elparan, which is by the wilderness.
7 And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kadesh, and killed all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.
8 And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim;

9 With Chedorlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five.

10 And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah escaped, and fell there; and they that remained escaped to the mountain.

11 And they took all the property of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their food, and walked away.

12 And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who Lived in Sodom, and his property, and walked away.

13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for Abram lived in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were compact with Abram.

14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued the kings to Dan.

15 And Abram separated himself against the kings, Abram and his servants, by night, and strike them, and run after the kings to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.

16 And Abram brought back all the property, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his property, and the women also, and the people.

17 And the king of Sodom went out to Abram after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and Melchizedek was the priest of the most lofty strength

19 And Melchizedek blessed Abram, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most lofty strength, creater of lofty and firm:

20 And blessed be the most lofty strength, which has shielded your narrow to your hand. And Melchizedek gave Abram a tenth of all.

21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, Give me the persons, and take the property to yourself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand to Jehovah, the most lofty strength, the creater of lofty and firm,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is yours, lest you shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the smoothness of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their smoothness.

Genesis 15

1 After these matters the word of Jehovah be to Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am your shield and protector, and your speedily increasing benefit or payment.

2 And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what will you give me, seeing I walk destitute, and the possession of my house is this Eliezer(God of help) of Damascus?

3 And Abram said, Look, to me you have not given no child: and, one son in my house is mine inheritance.

4 And, the word of Jehovah came to Abram, saying, The son shall not be your inheritance; but the son that shall come forth out of your own soft shall be your inheritance.

5 And Jehovah brought Abram, and said, Look intently now toward lofty, and record the stars, if you be able to tally or record the stars: and Jehovah said unto Abram, So shall your children be.

6 And Abram believed in the Jehovah; and Jehovah counted it to Abram for righteousness.

7 And Jehovah said to Abram, I am Jehovah that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this firm to occupy(driving out of previous tenants) and possess the firm.

8 And Abram said, Jehovah, how will I know that I shall inherit it?

9 And Jehovah said to Abram, Take me a female calf of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a ringdove, and a young pigeon.

10 And Abram took to him the female calf, she goat, a ram, a ringdove, and a young pigeon, and killed and chop up the calf, she goat, the ram, ringdove, and the young pigeon in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds he did not kill and chop up.

11 And when the birds of prey descended on the carcases, Abram drove them away.

12 And when the sun was going down, a deep trance fell on Abram; and, an idol of great misery fell on Abram.

13 And Jehovah said unto Abram, Know that your children shall be a guest in a firm that is not theirs, and shall work for them; and the people of that firm shall depress your children four hundred years;

14 And also that nation, whom your children shall work for, will I judge: and afterward shall your children come out with great property.

15 And you will go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried in a good old age.

16 But in the fourth generation your children will come here again: for the evil or punishment of the Amorites is not yet complete.

18 In the same day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram, saying, to your children have I given this firm, from the stream of Egypt to the great stream, the stream Euphrates:

19 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

20 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

21 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

GENESIS 16
1 Now Sarai Abram's wife show Abram no children: and Sarai had an female slave, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
NOTE : 15 : 2 -4 2 And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what will you give me, seeing I walk destitute, and the possession of my house is this Eliezer(God of help) of Damascus?

.3 And Abram said, Look, to me you have not given no child: and, one son in my house is mine inheritance.

.4 And, the word of Jehovah came to Abram, saying, The son shall not be your inheritance; but the son that shall come forth out of your own soft shall be your inheritance.

2 And Sarai said to Abram, Look now, Jehovah has restrained me from bring forth children: I ask you, have sex with my slave; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram was obedience to the voice of Sarai.
NOTE : genesis 3 : 6 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that the tree was a delight to the eyes, and a tree to delight in to make one intelligent, she took of the fruit, and did eat, and gave to her husband(Adam) with her; and he did eat. Adam also was obedience to his wife eve

3 And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her slave the Egyptian, after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave Hagar to her husband Abram to be his woman.

4 And Abram had sex with Hagar, and she became pregnant: and when Hagar saw that she had become pregnant, Sarai was small in Hagar's eyes.

5 And Sarai said to Abram, My wrong be on you: I have given my slave into your bosom; and when Hagar saw that she had become pregnant, I was small in her eyes: Jehovah pronounce punishment between me and you.

6 But Abram said to Sarai, Look, your slave is in your hand; do to her as it please you. And when Sarai dealt hardly with Hagar, Hagar fled suddenly fled from Sarai face.

7 And the messenger of Jehovah found Hagar by a fountain of water in the desert, by the fountain on the road to Shur.
NOTE : SHUR = Shur (a wall), a place just without the eastern border of Egypt.Shur is first mentioned in the narrative of Haggars flight from Sarah. ( Genesis 16:7) Abraham afterward "dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar."( Genesis 20:1) It is also called Ethami. The wilderness of Shur was entered in the Israelites after they had crossed the Red Sea.

8 And messenger of Jehovah said, Hagar, Sarai's slave, where you come from? and where will you go? And Hagar said, I flee suddenly from the face of my mistress Sarai.

9 And the messenger of Jehovah said to Hagar, turn back to your mistress, and depress yourself under her power.

10 And the messenger of Jehovah said to Hagar, I will increase your children , that it shall not be numbered for abundance.

11 And the messenger of Jehovah said to Hagar, Look, you are with child, and shalt bring forth a son, and shall call his name Ishmael(GOD will hear); because Jehovah has heard your misery.

12 And Ishmael will be a wild human being; his power will be against every man, and every man's power against Ishmael; and Ishmael shall live in the presence of all his brethren.

13 And Hagar called the name of Jehovah that spake to her, you el see me: for Hagar said, Have I also here looked after him that sees me?

14 Wherefore the well was called Beerlahairoi(a well of a living one my seer); look, the well is between Kadesh(a place in the desert) and Bered(a place south of palestine).

15 And Hagar brought forth a son to Abram: and Abram called his son's name, which Hagar brought forth, Ishmael(God will hear).

16 And Abram was fourscore and six years old, when Hagar brought forth Ishmael to Abram.

NOTE :Ishmael = venerated by Muslims as a prophet. According to the Genesis account, he died at the age of 137 (Genesis 25:17). Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions consider Ishmael to be the ancestor of the Ishmaelites (Hagarenes: Arabians or Muslims). God's convenant was established with abram through issac the son of promise through sarai. After the birth of Isaac, another son of Abraham, through Sarah, Ishmael and his mother were banished to the desert. he settled in Mecca. progenitor of the Arabs.

Genesis 17

1 And when Abram was 99 years old , Jehovah saw Abram, and said to Abram, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be perfect.

2 And I will give my compact between me and you, and will increase you properly.

3 And Abram fell on his face: and El-o-heem talked with Abram, saying,

4 As for me, look, my compact is with Abram, and Abram shall be a father of many nations.

5 Neither shall your mark any more be called out to Abram, but your mark shall be Abraham(father of a multitude); for a father of many nations have I made you.

6 And I will make you properly fruitful, and I will give nations of you, and kings shall go out of you.

7 And I will rise my compact between me and you and your seed after you in their age for an time out of mind compact, to be el-o-heem to you, and to your seed after you.

8 And I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the firm where you are a stranger, all the firm of Canaan, for an time out of mind possession; and I will be their el-o-heem.

9 And El-o-heem said to Abraham, You will guard my compact, you, and your seed after you in their age.

10 This is my compact, which you will guard, between me and you and your seed after you; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
NOTE: Circumcision was a cutting of the fore skin of the male penis. This indicated to the outside world that you was part of God's people or a Isrealite. With the coming of Christ the true circumision is in the heart through Jesus Christ which makes you God's people

11 And you shall circumcise the flesh of your prepurce; and it shall be a signal of the compact between me and you.

12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your age, he that is a son in the house, or purchased with money of any stranger(note: a person brought as a slave), which is not of your seed.

13 A son that is born in your house, and he that is purchased with your money, must be circumcised: and my compact shall be in your flesh for an time out of mind compact.

NOTE : Circumcision is a surgical procedure to remove the foreskin, the skin that covers the tip of the penis. In the United States, it is often done before a new baby leaves the hospital. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), there are medical benefits and risks to circumcision. medical benefits of circumcision include: A lower risk of HIV A slightly lower risk of other sexually transmitted diseases A slightly lower risk of urinary tract infections and penile cancer. However, these are both rare in all males.
NOTE : It was a sign in the old testment that you was part of God's people

14 And the uncircumcised son whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that son shall be separated from his tribe; he hath broken my compact.

15 And El-o-heem said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah(princess) shall her name be.

16 And I will bless Sarah, and give you a son from her: yea, I will bless Sarah, and sarah shall be a mother of nations; kings of tribes shall be from Sarah.
Note : Sarah is old and has not given Abraham children since they been married

17 Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed outright, and said in his heart, Shall a child be given to me that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, become pregnant and bring forth a child?
NOTE : Lack of Faith on Abraham's part here

18 And Abraham said to El-o-heem, O that Ishmael might live before you!
Note : that it shall not be numbered for abundance. Genesis 16:10
NOTE : Ishmael is not the child of promise

19 And El-o-heem said, Sarah your wife shall bring forth a son indeed; and you shall call his name Isaac(laughter): and I will rise my compact with Issac for an time out of mind compact, and with Isaac seed after Isaac.

20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: Look, I have blessed Ishmael, and will make Ishmael fruitful, and will increase Ishmael; twelve princes shall Ishmael bring forth, and I will make Ishmael a great nation.

21 But my compact will I rise with Isaac, which Sarah shall bring forth to you at this set time in the next year.

22 And El-o-heem ceased talking with Abraham, and El-o-heem ascended from Abraham.

23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said to Abraham.

24 And Abraham was 99 years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

26 In the same day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.

27 And all the men of Abraham's house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with Abraham.

Genesis 18

1 And Jehovah visited Abraham in the oaks of Mamre: and Abraham sat in the tent opening in the heat of the day;

2 And Abraham lift up his eyes and looked, and, three men stationed by Abraham: and when Abraham saw the man, he ran to meet them from the tent opening, and bowed himself toward the firm,

3 And said, My Lord, if now I have come forth favour in your eye, do not cross over, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4 Let a little water, I pray you, be taken, and wash your feet, and support yourselves under the tree:

5 And I will take a bit of food, and comfort your hearts; after that ye shall cross over: for therefore are cross over to your servant. And they said, do, as you have said.

6 And Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine flour, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth.

7 And Abraham ran to the herd, and taken a calf tender and good, and gave it to a boy; and he hurried to dress it.

8 And Abraham took cheese, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before the man; and Abraham stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

9 And the man said to Abraham, Where is Sarah your wife? And Abraham said, Look, in the tent.

10 And the men said, I will turn back to you according to the time of life; and, look, Sarah your wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent opening, which was behind Abraham.

11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well come up in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the well trodden road of women.

12 Therefore Sarah laughed outright, saying, After I failed shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
NOTE : MY LORD HERE IS ABRAHAM NOT GOD

13 And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety become pregnant and bring forth a child, when I am old?

14 Is any thing too distinguish or hard for Jehovah? At a fixed time I will turn back to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15 Then Sarah lied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid and feared. And Jehovah said, No; but Sarah did laugh.

16 And the men rose up from there under the tree, and looked toward Sodom(their secret): and Abraham went with the men to show them the way.
NOTE : Sodom and its sister cities are located in the large oval-shaped, fertile plain just north of the Dead Sea called simply ha-kikkar, or “the Disk” (Genesis 13, verse 13). In Biblical geography, this well-watered disk-shaped plain, said to have been located east of the highland towns of Bethel and Ai, was an area “like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt” where Lot moved his family after his quarrel with Abraham (Genesis 13, verse 10)

17 And Jehovah said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the firm shall be blessed in Abraham?

19 For I know him, that he will command his sons and his household after him, and they shall guard the road of Jehovah, to do rightness and verdict; that Jehovah may bring on Abraham that which he hath spoken of Abraham.

20 And Jehovah said, Because the shriek of Sodom and Gomorrah is abundant, and because their offence is very heavy;
NOTE : SINS OF SODOM AND Gomorrah
1) ezekiah 16:49 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy
2) Jude 1:7 - Jude 1:7, “as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire”.

3) The Jewish historian Josephus looks at all these factors (pride, homosexual behavior, hatred) in describing the sin of Sodom. About this time the Sodomites grew proud, on account of their riches and great wealth: they became unjust toward men, and impious toward God, insomuch that they did not call to mind the advantages they received from him: they hated strangers and abused themselves with Sodomitical practices. Now, when the Sodomites saw the young men to be of beautiful countenances, and this to an extraordinary degree, and that they took up their lodgings with Lot, they resolved themselves to enjoy these beautiful boys by force and violence.

4) One of the most prevalent sins in Sodom was the homosexuality of the men, engaging in sexual relations with the other men and boys. Sodom is where we get the term “sodomy and sodomites” named after this widespread sin of the town. After the angels entered the home of Lot, the men of the city surrounded Lot’s house. According to Genesis 19:5, “They called to Lot, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.’”

21 I will descend now, and see whether they have done according to the cry of it, which is come to me; and if not, I will know.

22 And the men turned their faces from there, and walked toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before Jehovah.

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Will you also scrape the just with the morally wrong?

24 perhaps there be fifty just in the city: wilt you also scrape and not spare the place for the fifty just that are therein?

25 That be profaned thing from you to do after this word, to kill the just with the morally wrong: and that the just should be as the morally wrong, that be a profaned thing from you: Shall not the Judge of all the firm do a verdict?

26 And Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty just within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Look now, I have taken upon me to speak to Jehovah, which am but mud and ashes:

28 Perhaps there shall be 45 just: will you destroy all the city for 45? And Jehovah said, If I find there 45, I will not destroy it.

29 And Abraham spake to Jehovah yet again, and said, Perhaps there shall be forty found there. And Jehovah said, I will not destroy it for forty's sake.

30 And Abraham said to Jehovah, Oh let not Jehovah be angry, and I will speak: perhaps there shall thirty be found there. And Jehovah said, I will not destroy it, if I find thirty there.

31 And Abraham said, Look now, I have taken upon me to speak to Jehovah: Perhaps there shall be twenty found there. And Jehovah said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 And Abraham said, Oh let not Jehovah be angry, and I will arrange yet but this once: Perhaps ten shall be found there. And Jehovah said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

33 And Jehovah took his walk, as soon as he had left arranging with Abraham: and Abraham turn back to his place.
